Around two thousand audiences came to Hoa Binh Theatre to attend “Sentimental attachment for Quang Ngai” show. The majority is the fellow countryman of Quang Ngai in HCMC. Before the show took place, at the Hall of Hoa Binh Theatre, there had been many people coming to Organization Board’s desk to directly donate money aid to Quang Ngai poor people, each person donated a few hundred thousand up to ten of million. The amount of money aid hourly increased before the music night. The provincial leader and members in Organization Board continuously received many calls from the audiences who watched the direct show “Sentimental attachment for Quang Ngai” on HTV9, PTQ and five other television stations in order to register for giving support to the poor and disable children in Quang Ngai. Until the broadcast time, the amount of money aid from the benefactors and businessman was around 27 billion VND.

The applause from audiences was resounding when the program was begun by “Quang Ngai – Tenacious mother earth” (Quang Ngai dat me ngoan cuong) song. Through the hot telephone lines in HCMC and Quang Ngai, the Organization Board has continuously received the money aid of more than 800 million VND from TV viewers. When the program finished, the amount of money for the poor and disable children in Quang Ngai was up to 31 billion VND. Also in this event, HCM City Television Station awarded a 500W transceiver to Quang Ngai province for the better condition of watching television. The audiences at Hoa binh Theatre were delighted by the solidarity spirit of people in the whole country to Quang Ngai poor people.

After the music night, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee – Pham Dinh Khoi had a contact with the reporters to thank the press who actively participated in providing this program’s information to the whole country, especially the support and share of Quang Ngai people all over the country. This amount of money will be allocated to the right people who need help in the right place according to benefactors’ wish.

More than 31 billion VND full of deep sentimental attachment will be an opportunity for thousand of poor households to improve their accommodation and cure for many disable children having difficult circumstances. The program ended with the Organization Board’s overexpected success, including the huge contribution of HCMC Television Station, Quang Ngai Association of fellow-countrymen in HCMC and the sponsors. This is also a practical meaningful activity in celebration of 33-year Quang Ngai Liberation Day – March 24, 1975 – March 24, 2008.
